CALIFORNIA’S OVERNIGHT FREIGHT SERVICE

Prompt, Courteous, & Dependable

September 26, 2008

What are the future plans of MVE , have you ever wondered where your company is headed? I, along with my Executive Management Staff have just completed a full day’s review of our 5 year Business Plan. We gathered in the mountains to relax and gather our thoughts about the future plans and ideas to move our company forward. I gathered input from my staff and incorporated it into this 5 year Plan. You may be wondering how MVE is doing in this down economy and all of the troubles of Wall Street. MVE is doing just fine and our business levels are growing, all due to the good sales and service that we provide to our customers. Our 5 year plan outlines some aggressive growth opportunities beyond 2009, we feel that 2009 will be another slow growth year for the economy and beyond that we will see a full economic recovery. Our plans call for growth levels in the 5 to 8 % level and terminal expansions into Sacramento and Phoenix, Arizona. In order for us to reach this level of growth and expansion, we will need to continue to reduce the overall age of the fleet and recruit and retain high quality individuals for employment. We recognize that we must continue to enhance our wage and benefit package, with annual wage increases and annual review of all employee benefits. Our single biggest challenges over these next 5 years will be overall Sales growth and equipment replacement issues, in order to stay ahead of the Emission regulation. Another avenue of the plans outline is that of a Marketing Dept., we must be in a position to properly market our services. We certainly sell our services, through our Sales Dept. I am talking about Marketing our Services, via the web site, advertising, brochures, give aways, flyers, handouts, and new ideas for Marketing our company’s abilities into the future, this takes a special expertise and talent. Through the direction of a Business Plan, we can begin to lay the ground work for our future and rest assured that we have done so, with the creation of MVE’s very first 5 year Business Plan. This plan will be available for you to review through your Regional Manager, Director of Sales, V.P. of Maintenance, Exec. V.P., C.F.O. or myself. We as a company must embrace what the plan is outlining, and we as an Executive level of Management have done so, you will also need to embrace this plan in order for our company to meet these growth goals moving into the future.

Environmental Front—The CARB, (Cal. Air Resources Board), has moved their Board vote on the Private Fleet Rule from October to December, citing State budget issues as the reason. The CTA has put forth some alternative language to this rule in front of CARB and we believe that is the reason for the delayed vote. None the less, we are continuing to move ahead with new equipment and retrofitting 19 existing power units. We have two additional new Freightliners coming at the end of December. MVE is continuing to sit on the Environmental Policy Committee of the CTA and the Environmental Task Force as well, keeping abreast of all environmental regulation. We will be prepared and financially able to meet the strict requirements of the 2007 and 2010 Clean Air Act regulations. We also had a CTA San Joaquin Unit meeting with CARB and the San Joaquin Air Pollution District. We asked questions and expressed our concerns, of the Private Fleet Rule, as an industry for the last time prior to December. You can see just how proactive we here at MVE are when it comes to this regulation and how it will affect all of us business leaders and as consumers in the State of California. We now have 6 Toyota hybrids operating in our Sales Dept. obtaining 45 to 48 miles per gallon, these will be all that we purchase for 2008. MVE GO GREEN is in the process of being trademarked, in order to protect this new identity for our company.

Until next time, keep your head up and MVE GO GREEN! Scott Blevins
